A new kitchen and bar in the heart of Beaverdale
East Meets West brings modern Asian-American comfort food, a full bar and weekend brunch to 1903 Beaver Ave, Des Moines — the neighborhood room that was the Motley School Tavern.
Where East meets West
The idea is simple: the comfort food of the East and the West on one table. Crispy wings, crab rangoon and egg rolls to start, signature rice bowls like lemongrass chicken and Korean crispy chicken, a pork banh mi and a proper double-smash house burger — plus sweet chili brussels sprouts that disappear first.
There is a full bar for a drink after work or with dinner, and weekend brunch Friday through Sunday. It is the kind of place you can come to for a quick pickup, a long table with friends, or a seat at the bar.
We are proud to cook in Beaverdale, in the space the Motley School Tavern called home for years. Order online for pickup, or come in and see us on Beaver Avenue.
